PORTFOLIO ASSIGNMENTS:
STEP FOUR: When the attorney is finished with the Direct Examination questions, hand out the Direct Examination questions to each witness. Witnesses will also be asking you to schedule a meeting with the attorney if they need help answering their Direct Examination questions. Put the schedule in your portfolio.
STEP FOUR: Meet with the attorney and critic to begin copying the Official Script that will be used during the Mock Trial and graded.
STEP FIVE: Check the attorney’s OPENING/CLOSING STATEMENTS for grammatical errors, and flaws in their argument that might hurt the case. Use the Collins Writing technique- 1. Read it Aloud to yourself. 2. Use the Collins Writing Editing Marks. Remember- your team is arguing that Johnny Cade is not guilty/ guilty. Your reasons need to include evidence in the form of testimony and at least one piece of physical evidence.

STEP ONE: Meet with the Police. Review the Affidavit with the group.
STEP TWO: Meet with the Attorney to discuss what piece of physical evidence will need to be created by the Court Artist. Once the attorney decided, meet with the court artist to discuss their assignment.
STEP THREE: Begin to schedule interviews with the following witnesses:
