Bailiff
Role: One of your roles is to establish and enforce the rules of the courtroom. You also assist the Judge with trial proceedings. It’s a big job, but someone’s got to do it!

2. Create a short Quiz, between 5-10 questions, assessing what students know about Courtroom Rules. You can pick the format- Multiple Choice, Matching, Fill-in-the-Blank, Short Answer. You can use Socrative, Quizlet, Traditional Paper/Writing Utensil, or even Kahoot. See Mrs. Powers for help.
3. Select at least 10 courtroom expectations that you think will provide the safest, and most respectful atmosphere. Review the quizzes to help plan your rules. Create a handout for yourself and classmates. Submit to Mrs. Powers for approval prior to handing them out.
4. Create a PowerPoint or Prezi Presentation highlighting the 10 Rules of your Courtroom. You will need to present this along with the handout to your classmates. The speech should be between 5-7 minutes. Schedule with Mrs. Powers.
5. Create another Quiz for students about the Courtroom Expectations. You can use your previous quiz, if you want. You should receive better results than the first time. For students that do not earn a 100%, you can provide a quick review of your expectations.
6. Complete your Mock Trial Script. Begin to practice your lines for the Trial. Make sure you are saying Mr. and Miss. Last Name.
7. Make a LARGE POSTER displaying the Courtroom Expectations.
